LEGROOM is artists Amy Lawrence and Juliet Davis, a nomadic Franco-British curatorial duo based in Manchester and founded in 2016.
We create engaging live programmes in site specific settings that platform international and local cross-disciplinary approaches to spatially engaged work and physicality. Recent projects include artist residencies, live interventions, international curatorial collaborations, artist-led events, curated meals, toured projects and workshop-based processes.
We use curation to translate liveness through varied forms and facilitate collaboration. LEGROOM creates platforms and development opportunities for experiencing and making projects with supported work spanning live art, video, choreography, publication and sound.
From June - Dec 2017, LEGROOM curated Unit 4 Watson Street - a space in Manchester City Centre with a monthly public programme featuring a series of live events, workshops and artist development opportunities, supported by Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces.
