Creative and performative curation with 1st Year Interactive Arts students - 2016 - Manchester School of Art.
Creative curation encouraged active exploration into the creation of curated environments with a specific emphasis on process focused situations and an introduction to performative curation. Through discussion, individual and collaborative tasks together we focused primarily on curation as an ambiguous term which may exist on the boundaries of exhibition, events planning, community based programming and potentially also seat itself quite comfortably in a ‘non-arts’ contexts. Curation is treated political, creative and discursive, a creative tool supported by a LEGROOM presentation of previous works, presentations around creative problem solving, curatorial models and sustainability. LEGROOM hope to foster more grassroots activity and encourage curatorial projects through this supportive environment.
